Maia: the minimalist teardrop shape necklace

I want to create a minimalist necklace that is great for everyday wear, something that is easy to carry, not over the top, and yet full of character and uniqueness. This is no easy task! I start with studying the shape of a round gemstone bead. Unlike faceted stones, you will see way more personality in gemstone beads since there are a lot more material involve. Each bead is not like the other, full of it's own character and that's why I fell in love with them. Then I ask myself how do I utilize gold in the most efficient and minimalist way? A delicate 14k gold ribbon gently wraps around the bead, and further elongate to the top transform into the bale of the pendant results in a classical teardrop shape.

The bale part is then topped by pave diamonds for highlights. I am please with the result and this is one of the best sellers of this shop. We offer varieties of gemstones and karat gold since everyone have their own favorite and we also love to see what possibilities this design can bring us!
